The Myrtle House is located inthe neighborhood of Bed-Stuy. This neighbohood is a ideal blend of old and new. Like neighboring Bushwick and Williamsburg, the neighborhood is now a major hub for young artistic types, but it has nevertheless kept its rich cultural history with street art murals and authentic brownstone architecture. The neighborhood is filled with coffee-shops perfect for remote and co-working, as well as green spaces such as Herbert Von King Park and the outdoor Eubie Blake Auditorium. With a plethora of restaurants, as well as bars and live music venues this neightborhood is sure to have something for everyone.

Location

Bed-Stuy is conveniently served by the A, C, J, and G trains. The Myrtle House is located on the north side of the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood in Brooklyn, a 7-minute walk from the Myrtle Ave. stop on the JMZ trains and a 10-minute walk from the Myrtle-Willoughby stop on the G train. You can be in Manhattan in 22 minutes, Wall Street in 33 minutes, and Rockefeller Plaza in 39 minutes.

The space

We worked with interior designers to make the house comfortable for all of our members in any room of the house. We used only the best suppliers and materials for the furniture, from real wooden surfaces to sleek countertops.

This space is move-in ready; all you have to do is show up.

The kitchens/dining room

In these apartments, the kitchen and dining room are the first rooms you enter. These spaces are used for cooking up dinner and relaxing in the evening over a glass of wine.

  • Amenities include electric stoves, stainless-steel fridges, microwaves, large sinks, coffee makers, plenty of cabinets, cookware, tableware, cutting boards, and anything else you would need in a kitchen.
  • Also included: paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, and garbage/recycling bags, all of which are routinely restocked.

Welcome to Bed-Stuy

Bed-Stuy is a neighborhood filled with a with rich in 18th-century Dutch history and Revolutionary War heritage, as well as black American civil rights history, with monuments like Restoration Plaza on Fulton Street and an array of neo-Gothic historical landmarks. The neighborhood is filled with coffee-shops perfect for remote and co-working, as well as green spaces such as Herbert Von King Park and the outdoor Eubie Blake Auditorium.

Bed-Stuy is also known for being an artist’s paradise, in part due to the emerging artists who have made the neighborhood their home in recent years, with an array of murals and galleries at your fingertips. The neighborhood is famous for its Caribbean, Trinidadian and Haitian restaurants, as well as the abundant bars and live music venues.
